Fabric & Cutting: Nickel = 5" square Dime = 10" square FOR A SCRAPPY LOOK:
MED/DARK ORANGE: (2) Nickels - Cut each nickel into (4) 2 1/2" squares OR (8) 2 1/2" squares assorted
(1) 2 1/2" square
LIGHT ORANGE:** (4) Nickels - cut each into (2) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strips OR (8) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strips assorted
(4) 3" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side
DARK GREEN (1) Nickel - cut into (4) 2 1/2" squares OR (4) 2 1/2" squares assorted
(4) 3" squares
LIGHT GREEN: (1) Nickel - cut into (4) 2 1/2" squares OR (4) 2 1/2" squares assorted
WHITE: (4) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
**If you won't have Light Orange in your stash, try using light peach or yellow.
Sewing Instructions:
Make Half Square Triangles by placing (1) 3" Light Orange square on top of (1) Dark Green square, right
sides together.
Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Dark Green. Square up to 2 1/2"

Sew (1) 2 1/2" Dark Green Square to (1) HST as shown, being careful of placement:

Sew (1) Dark Orange Square to (1) HST as shown, being careful of placement:

Assemble above units as shown, being careful of placement: Square up to 4 1/2"

Sew (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" Light Orange strip to side of above unit as shown, being careful of placement:

Sew (1) 2 1/2" Dark Orange square to one end of (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" Light Orange strip:

Sew above strip to top of previous unit as shown, being careful of placement:

Sew (1) Light Green 2 1/2" square to one end of (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" White strip

Sew (1) 2 1/2" Dark Orange square between (2) White/Light Green strips:
Make 1
Assemble your block as shown:
Your block should measure 14 1/2" unfinished
