Fabric Requirements & Cutting:
Cream: (8) 3 7/8" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side
Red: (1) 2 1/2" square
(1) 7 1/4" square
Dark Green: (1) 7 1/4" square
Med Green: (4) 2 1/2" squares
White: (4) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
Sewing Instructions:
Make Flying Geese using the No Waste Method, as shown:
Place (2) 3 7/8" Cream squares on opposite corners of (1) 7 1/4" Dark Green square, right sides together, and aligning drawn lines, as shown: (they will slightly overlap). Stitch a scant 1/4" on each side of line. Cut apart, and press to Cream.
Next, place (1) 3 7/8" Cream on unit, right sides together, as shown. Stitch a scant 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Cream.
Make (4) Flying Geese 3 1/2" x 6 1/2"
Repeat the above process to make more Flying Geese using (1) 7 1/4" Red and (4) 3 7/8" Cream squares.
Sew (1) 2 1/2" Med Green square on one end of (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" White strip.
Sew (1) Cream/Red unit to (1) Cream/Dark Green unit, as shown:
Your Block should measure 14 1/2" Unfinished
