Fabric & Cutting Requirements:    (Use a good mix of several prints for added interest)

Red:  (6) 3" squares                       White:  (4) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

         (1) 2 1/2" square

Solid Black:  (4) 2 1/2" squares

Black on White Print (BOW):  (4) 4 1/2" squares

                                             (10) 3" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

White on Black Print  (WOB):  (4) 3" squares

Sewing Instructions: 

Make HST by placing (1) 3" BOW square on top of (1) 3" Red square. Stitch 1/4" on each side of drawn line, cut apart on line, and press to Red.            Square up to 2 1/2"

Make 12

Make more HST using (1) 3" BOW and (1) 3 WOB squares, using above method.

Press to WOB.                                         Square up to 2 1/2"

Assemble your quadrant, as shown:

Sew (1) 2 1/2" Black Square on the end of (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" White strip:

Assemble your block rotating quadrants as shown:

Your block should measure 14 12" Unfinished.

   Check back Feb 1st for final block and quilt
