Finishing instructions for Persimmon Quilts 2009 BOM
I hope you've enjoyed making your blocks for my 2009 Block of the Month.. Can you believe it's been a whole year??? I am calling this my ROM BOM (those of you who have ever had knee surgery, like I did this year, will understand).
This BOM is my version of a Quilter's Coat of Many Colors. I hope you used up some of your stash, and got re-acquainted with your fabrics, as you dug through them each month. You will want to use a wide variety of colors and fabrics in your finishing instructions. Just be sure to use White and Black where indicated. The colors I've used for the stones are just an example, you don't have to follow exactly.
For those of you who made your ROM BOM a coordinated project, you can decide what colors/fabrics you choose to use in the sashing stones. These will tie your quilt together. If you want to use Black where indicated, please do. If you have a coordinating fabric you'd like to use, go for it! It's your ROM BOM, you decide the finishing look.
There is no set order to the arrangement of your blocks. Put them up on your design wall, and play!
