Fabric Requirements:

Focal Fabric.............(2) 4 7/8" square -cut once on diagonal

(4) 2 1/2" square

Background..............(8) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

(2) 4" square - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

Coordinate #1 (Green)....... (1) 4" square YOUR #1_________________

(8) 2 1/2" square - draw diagonal line on wrong side

Coordinate #2 (Blue)..........(1) 4" square YOUR #2_______________

(8) 2 1/2" Square - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

Sewing Instructions:

Make Half Square Triangles (HST) by placing (1) 4" Background square on top of (1) 4" Green (#1) square, right sides

together. Sew 1/4" on each side on drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Green. Square up to 3 1/4"

Repeat above process using (1) 4" Background square and (1) 4" Blue (#2) square. Square up to 3 1/4"

Sew your HST together as shown: Sew (1) Focal triangle on each side of block, as shown:

Your block should measure 6 "

Your block should measure 8 1/2"

Make 1

Make Flying Geese (FG) by placing (1) 2 1/2" Green (#1) square on one end of (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" Background, right

sides together, as shown. Sew ON the line. Cut 1/4" Seam allowance, flip back, and press to Green. Repeat on other

end using (1) 2 1/2" Blue (#2) square. Your FG should measure 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

Repeat process, using colors in opposite combination, as shown:

Sew one of each FG unit together, as shown: Sew (1) 2 1/2" Focal square on each end of TWO FG strips:

Make 4

Make 2

Assemble your block as shown:

Your block should measure 12 1/2"
