Fabric Requirements:

           Focal fabric...............(1) 3 3/8" square

                                              (2) 3" square

          Background.............. (2) 5 1/4" square - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

                                              (6) 3" square - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

                                              (4) 2 1/2" square

         Coordinate #1 (Brown)....(2) 5 1/4" square                                     YOUR #1 ________________

         Coordinate #2 (Blue).......(1) 4 1/8" - cut twice diagonally              YOUR #2__________________

                                                    (4) 3" square

Sewing Instructions:

    Make Half Square Triangles (HST) by placing (1) 3" Background fabric on top of (1) 3" Focal fabric, right sides together.  Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line.  Cut apart on line, and press to Focal.   Square up to 2 1/2"

Make 4

Repeat process to make HST using (1) 3" Background and (1) 3" Coordinate #2 (Blue).   Square up to 2 1/2"

Make Quarter Square Triangles (QST) by placing (1) 5 1/4" Background square on top of (1) 5 1/4" Coordinate #1 (Brown) square, right sides together.  Sew 1/4" on each side of line. Cut apart on line, and press to Brown.   No need to square up yet.

Next, place one HST on top of another HST, right sides together, and seams in opposite directions. Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line.  Cut apart on line, and press to Brown.    Square up to 4 1/2"

Sew (1) Coordinate #2 (Blue) triangle to one side of (1) 3 3/8" Focal fabric square, as shown.  Repeat on remaining sides.

Square up to 4 1/2" if necessary.

Make 1

Assemble your block as shown:

Your block should measure 12 1/2"
