Fabric Requirements:
Focal Fabric....................(2) 5 1/4" square
Background ................... (1) 5 1/4" square - draw diagonal line on wrong side
(4) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
(2) 2 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Coordinate #1 (Purple).....(2) 2 1/2" x 5 1/2"`

Sewing Instructions:
Make Quarter Square Triangles (QST) by placing (1) 5 1/4" Focal square on top of (1) 5 1/4" Orange (#2), right sides together. Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Focal. No need to square up yet.
Next, place 2 HST right sides together, with seams in opposite directions. Draw a diagonal line in the opposite direction from seam. Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart, and press to Focal.

Square up to 4 1/2"
You only need 1 for this project.
Make HST by placing (1) 5 1/4" Background square on top of (1) 5 1/4" Orange (#2), right sides together. Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Orange. No need to square up yet.
Make 2
Make QST by placing (1) Background/Orange HST on top of (1) Focal/Orange HST, right sides together, with seams in opposite directions. Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Orange
Square up to 4 1/2"
Make 4
Sew (1) 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" Background strip to (1) 2 1/2" x 5 1/2" Purple (#1) strip, lenghthwise. Subcut into (2) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" units.
Make 4
Sew (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" Background strip to left side Sew (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" Background strip to right side
