QOV Mystery 10 Clue #6 & Final Assembly
Cutting Instructions:
DARK BLUE: (4) 4 1/2" squares
GOLD: (5) 2 1/2" x WOF
Sew (2) Blue/Light Blue Flying Geese unit,
and (1) Split 4-patch together
Sew (2) "M" units and (1) "Q" unit together
Assemble your quilt top according to diagram below. The finished illustration shows fabric placement.
Be sure to rotate blocks to match exactly!
Step 1: Sew (2) Block #4 blocks to each side of Center medallion, then sew top and bottom rows on
Inner Borders:
Sew (5) 2 1/2" x WOF GOLD strips together end to end.
Measure and cut (2) 2 1/2" x 48". Sew these to the sides of quilt top.
Measure and cut (2) 2 1/2" x 52". Sew these to top and bottom of top
Outer Borders:
Sew (13) 4-Patches together end to end, plus add (1) Red/White strip unit to end.
Sew these to the sides of your quilt top (Look at illustration of full quilt (below) to determine direction of borders. Rotate accordingly.
Sew (13) 4-Patches together end to end, adding (1) Red/White Strip unit to end, plus (1) 4 1/2" DARK BLUE square to each end.
Following illustration below, sew Top and Bottom borders on - Rotating accordingly.
