Cutting Instructions:

RED: ..............(63)  3" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

                      (64)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

DARK BLUE:...(103)  3" squares

LIGHT BLUE:...(48)   3" squares

WHITE:...........(112)   3" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side

GOLD:............ (24)   3" squares   

Make Half Square Triangles (HST) by placing (1) 3" RED square on top of (1) 3" DARK BLUE square.  Stitch 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Red.          Square up to 2 1/2"

Repeat the above procedure to make HST's                                       Using same procedure make HST's using

using RED and GOLD 3" squares                                                     RED and LIGHT BLUE 3" squares

Make 24       Square up to 2 1/2"

Make 16    Square up to 2 1/2"

This ends Clue #1.          Set your Red 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strips aside for later in pattern.

Clue #2 Cutting Instructions

DARK BLUE:.......(128)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

                          (48)  3" squares

GOLD:.................(48)  3" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side

Using the above procedure, make HST using                                     Make more HST's using GOLD and WHITE

DARK BLUE and WHITE 3" squares. Press to Dark Blue.                  3" squares.   Press to Gold.

                                   Square up to 2 1/2"                                                                     Square up to 2 1/2"

Make more HST's by placing (1) 3" WHITE square on top of (1) 3" LIGHT BLUE square.  Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on drawn line, and press to Light Blue.         Square up to 2 1/2"
