Cutting Instructions:

DARK BLUE:.......(128)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

                          (48)  3" squares

GOLD:.................(48)  3" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side

WHITE................ (64) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

This ends Clue #2         Set aside the rest of the DARK BLUE 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strips, WHITE 2 1/2" x 4 1/2",  & any HST's for later clue

Cutting Instructions for Clue #3

  DARK BLUE:.....(64) 2 1/2" squares

Make more HST's by placing (1) 3" GOLD square on top of (1) DARK BLUE 3" square. Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line, cut apart on line, and press to Dark Blue.               Square up to 2 1/2"

Make 96

Sew (1) Light Blue/White HST to one end of (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strip as shown, being careful of placement:

Make 8          LABEL: "A"

Repeat above process, rotating HST as shown:

Make 8         LABEL:   "B"

Sew (1) Dark Blue/White HST to one end of (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" WHITE strip as shown:

Make 32        LABEL:   "C"

Sew (1) Gold/White HST to one end of (1) Dark Blue 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" strip, as shown:

Make 12      LABEL:   "D"

Repeat above process, rotating the Gold/White HST as shown, being careful of placement:

Make 12        LABEL:  "E"

Sew (1) Dark Blue/White HST to one end of (1)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2" Dark Blue strip, as shown

Make 12     LABEL:   "F"

Repeat above process, rotating Dark Blue/White HST as shown, being careful of placement

Make 12      LABEL:  "G"
