Cutting Instructions:

    Red.....     (40) 2 1/2" squares- draw diagonal line on wrong side

                    (20) 2 1/2" squares

                     (2)  2 1/2" x 13"

    Cream..... (40) 2 1/2" x 8 1/2"

     Blue.. ..   (40) 2 1/2" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side

                   (20) 2 1/2"squares

                     (2) 2 1/2" x 13"

    

Sewing Instructions:  

     Place (1) 2 1/2" BLUE square on one end of (1) 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" CREAM, right sides together. Sew on drawn line. Cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press to Blue.  Next place (1) 2 1/2" RED square on the other end, right sides together. Sew on drawn line. Cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press to Red.

Make 20  "A" units

Repeat above process, reversing the 2 1/2" RED and BLUE squares, as shown:

Make 20  "B" units

Sew (1) 2 1/2" BLUE square and (1) 2 1/2" RED on Unit "A", as shown.

Make 20  "C" units

Sew (1) 2 1/2" x 13" RED strip to (1) 2 1/2" x 13" BLUE strip lengthwise.  Subcut into (5) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" units.  Make 4-Patches using these units.                                                                                     Your 4-patch should measure 4 1/2".

                       (10) 5 1/4" squares

Blue................(2) 2 1/2" x 13"

                     (10) 5 1/4" squares

Gold............... (80) 2 7/8" - draw diagonal line on wrong side
