Cutting Instructions: 

   Background................(1) 6 1/2" square                                          

                                    (1)  3 1/2" x WOF

                                    (4)  3 1/2" x 6 1/2"    

   Red...........................(1) 3 1/2" x WOF                                            

   Blue...........................(4)  3 1/2" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

                                    (4) 3 1/2" x 6 1/2"

Sewing Instructions:  

Place (1) 3 1/2" Blue square on one corner of (1) 6 1/2" Background square, right sides together, as shown. Sew on drawn line, cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press.   Repeat on remaining corners.    Square up to 6 1/2", if needed.

Make 1

Sew (1) 3 1/2" x WOF Background striip to (1) 3 1/2" x WOF Red                             Make 4-patches as shown:

strip lengthwise, as shown.  Subcut into (10) 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" units.

Sew (1) 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" Background strip to (1) 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" Blue strip lengthwise, as shown:

                               (24)  3 1/2" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

                                 (6)  1 1/4" x WOF

     Red..................  (1)  3 1/2" x WOF

                                (3)  2" x WOF
