Cutting Instructions: 

Background.............. (8)  6 1/2" squares

Blue......................... (4)  3 1/2" x 6 1/2"

Red..........................(64)  2" x 6 1/2"

Sewing Instructions:  

Sew (1) small FG unit to each end of Red/Blue unit as shown:                      Next, sew (1) 2" x 6 1/2"  Red strip to top and bottom of unit, as shown:

Press in.                                                                                                   Press out.

Make 32

Sew 4 units together, as shown:    Press seams open to help with bulk.         (Hint:  To help match FG points, try basting intersection first)

Sew the following units together to make star:  (4) Flying Geese, (4) 6 1/2" Background squares, (1) Center unit, (4) 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" Blue

Sew the following units together, being very careful of placement:

Make the following unit using (2) 4-patches and (1) 6 1/2" Background square:
