QOV Mystery 22 - Clue #1

Cutting Instructions:

White..............(32) 1 1/2" x 7 1/2"

                     (32)  1 1/2" x 5 1/2"

                      (6)   5" square - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

Dark Blue........(16)  5 1/2" square

Dark Red........  (12)   5" square

Light Blue.......  (6)  5" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

Sewing Instructions: 

Make Half Square Triangles (HST) by placing (1) 5" White square on top of (1) 5" Dark Red square, right sides together.  Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line.  Cut apart on line, and press to Dark Red.                          No need to square up.

Make 12

Make HST using (1) 5" Light Blue and (1) 5" Dark Red squares.  Press to Dark Red.  No need to square up

Make 12

Sew (1) 1 1/2" x 5 1/2" White strip to opposite sides of (1) 5 1/2" square.  Next sew (1) 1 1/2" x 7 1/2" White strip to top and bottom of unit, as shown:
