Cutting Instructions:
RED:.... (8) 4 1/2" squares GOLD:.... (16) 3" squares
BLUE:....(7) 4 1/2" x WOF (set aside) WHITE:....(2) 5 1/4" squares
(8) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" (16) 3" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side
(8) 2 7/8" squares
Make Flying Geese by placing (2) 2 7/8" BLUE squares on top of (1) 5 1/4" WHITE square, right sides together as shown. (Your squares will over lap
slightly). Pin if needed. Draw a line from the upper left corner to the bottom right corner. Sew a scant 1/4" on both sides of drawn line. Cut apart on line
and press to BLUE.
Next place a 2 7/8" BLUE square, right sides together as shown. Draw a line from corner to corner on the blue square. Sew a scant 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to blue.
Sew (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" BLUE strip to (1) Blue/White Flying Geese unit, as shown. LABEL: "A"

Sew (1) 4 1/2" RED square on each side of an "A" Unit, as shown: (Set remainder "A" units aside for now)
Make Half Square Triangles (HST's) by placing (1) WHITE 3" square on top of (1) GOLD 3" square, right sides
together. Sew a 1/4" seam on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to gold. Square up to 2 1/2"

BLUE:......(28) 2 7/8" squares WHITE:....(8) 5" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side
