Cutting Instructions:

    Red:.......(64) 3" x 3"                    White or Cream Background **:........ (8) 2" x WOF

                                                                                                                         (64)  3" x 3" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side

    Blue:..... (7)  2 1/2" X WOF - set aside 

                   (4) 1 1/2" x WOF

** Clue will be listed as "White", but you may use white OR cream as your background              

Sew (1) 1 1/2" x WOF BLUE strip between (2) 2" x WOF WHITE strips. 

Subcut into (8) 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" units as shown:     Repeat process until you have 32.

Make 32

Make Half Square Triangles (HST) by placing (1) 3" WHITE square on top of (1) 3" RED square, right sides together.

Stitch 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Red.   Square up to 2 1/2"

Make 128

Make pinwheels using your HST's, as shown:

Make 8         Set remainder of HST's aside for later

Sew (2) Pinwheels and (2) Blue/White strip units together as shown:     Set remainder White/Blue strips aside for later

     RED:........(64) 4 1/2" x 4 1/2"                WHITE:........(10) 5"x 5" - Draw a diagonal line on wrong side

                                                                                 (192) 2 7/8"- draw a diagonal line on wrong side

    BLUE:...... (64) 4 1/2" x 4 1/2"

                    (10)  5" x 5 "
