Cutting Instructions:

  WHITE:..(8)  6 1/2" squares                                                                      LIGHT BLUE:..... (1) 2 1/2" x 26"

               (8)   4" square - draw diagonal line on wrong side

              (25)  2 7/8" squares - cut once on diagonal

  DARK BLUE:.....(32)  3 1/2" square - draw diagonal line on wrong side        

                           (1)   2 1/2' x 26"

                           (10)  2 1/2" x 8 1/2"

                           (10)  2 1/2" x 6 1/2"

                            (8)   4" square

Place (1) 3 1/2" DARK BLUE square on top of (1) 6 1/2" WHITE square, right sides together, as shown.  Stitch on line.  Cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press;.  Pace another DARK BLUE 3 1/2" square in opposite corner and repeat.   

Repeat above process in the other remaining corners using (2) 3 1/2" DARK BLUE squares.      Square up to 6 1/2"

Make 8

Sew a triangle onto the end of (1) 2 1/2" x 8 1/2" strip as shown below:

Sew a triangle onto the end of (1) 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" strip as shown:

Make 10         Save the rest of the triangles for later

Sew (1) 2 1/2" x 26" LIGHT BLUE strip to (1) 2 1/2" x 26" DARK BLUE strip as shown.   Subcut into 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" units

Make 10

Make Half Square Triangles (HST) by placing (1) 4" WHITE square on top of (1) 4" DARK BLUE square. 

Stitch 1/4" on each side of drawn line.  Cut apart on line, and press to Dark Blue.    Square up to 3 1/2"
