Cutting Instructions:
Red:..... (2) 2 1/2" x WOF Dark Blue:....(2) 2 1/2" x WOF..
(1) 2 1/2" x 6" (2) 2 1/2" x 6"
(4) 7 1/4" squares
White:.....(5) 2 1/2" x WOF"
(16) 3 7/8" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side
Sew (1) 2 1/2" X WOF" WHITE strip to (1) 2 1/2" x WOF" DARK BLUE. Subcut into 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" units, as shown:
Make 34 (use the 2 1/2" x 6" Blue strip if needed)
Next make the same units using (1) 2 1/2" x WOF WHTE strip and (1) 2 1/2" x WOF RED strip. Subcut into 2 1/2" x 4 1/2", as shown:
Make 34 (use the 2 1/2" x 6" Red strip if needed)
Make 4 patches, using your above units:
Make 34 Your 4-Patch should measure 4 1/2"
Make Flying Geese by using (1) 7 1/4" DARK BLUE square and (4) 3 7/8" WHITE squares.
Begin by placing (2) WHITE squares on top of (1) DARK BLUE square, right sides together, as shown. They will slightly overlap.
Draw a diagonal line from top left corner to bottom right. Stitch 1/4" on each side of drawn line, then cut apart on line, and press to
white.
Place (1) WHITE square on above unit, right sides together, as shown. Draw a diagonal line on wrong side of WHITE square. Stitch 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press white.

(8) 4" square - draw diagonal line on wrong side
(25) 2 7/8" squares - cut once on diagonal
DARK BLUE:.....(32) 3 1/2" square - draw diagonal line on wrong side
(1) 2 1/2' x 26"
(10) 2 1/2" x 8 1/2"
(10) 2 1/2" x 6 1/2"
(8) 4" square
Your Flying Geese should measure 3 1/2" x 6 1/2"
