Make HST's by placing a 4" WHITE square on top of  (1) 4" BLUE square.  Stitch 1/4" on both sides of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to red.

Cutting Instructions:            

  WHITE:...(24)  4" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

  DARK BLUE:... (24) 4" squares

                          (10) 2 1/2" squares

Make 48

Sew (2) Blue/White  HSTs together as shown:

Make 16   Save the rest of Blue/White HST for later   

Sew the above unit to both sides of your Clue #2 unit, as shown:

Make 8

Sew a WHITE triangle to the end of your Light Blue/Dark Blue unit from Clue #2, as shown, being careful of color placement:

Make 10

Sew a WHITE triangle to (1) 2 1/2" DARK BLUE square, as shown:

Make 10         (Save the rest of your triangles for later)

     DARK BLUE:    (5)  10 7/8" square - cut once on diagonal

Square up to 3 1/2"
