Cutting instructions:

    RED:...... (12) 2 1/2" x 15 1/2"                         WHITE: (8) 4 1/2" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side

                   (8) 4 1/2" squares

    BLUE:.....(16)  2 1/2" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side

Make HST's by placing (1) 4 1/2" WHITE square on top of (1) 4 1/2" RED square, right sides together.  Sew 1/4" on each side

of drawn line.  Cut apart on line, and press to red.           No need to square up.                       LABEL: C

Make 16

Make Quarter Square Triangles (QST) by placing (1) Blue/White HST "B" unit on top of (1) Red-White HST "C", right sides

together, making sure red and blue fabrics are opposite each other.  Draw a diagonal line. Stitch 1/4" on each side, cut apart on line, press to dark.

Place (1) 2 1/2" BLUE square on top of one corner of (1) 2 1/2' x 15 1/2" RED strip, right sides together.  Stitch on drawn line, cut seam allowance 1/4", flip back, and press to Red.                                                                     LABEL: S-1

                       (2)  2" x 7 1/2"

                       (1)  2" x 5"

                     (56)  2 1/2" squares

      GOLD:.....(56)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

                     (1)   2" x 7 1/2"

                     (8)   3 1/2" squares

Using same method as above, make units with BLUE quick corners on both ends, being careful of placement, as shown:
