Cutting Instructions:

      BLUE:......(56) 2 1/2" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side       

                       (2)  2" x 7 1/2"

                       (1)  2" x 5"   

                      (32) 2" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side 

                                                                                                                                 

      WHITE:....(56)  2 1/2" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side    

                     (56)  2 1/2" squares

      GOLD:.....(56)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

                     (1)   2" x 7 1/2"

                     (1)   1" x 9 1/2"

                     (8)   3 1/2" square

     

Place (1) 2 1/2" BLUE square on one end of (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" GOLD strip, right sides together.  Sew on drawn line, cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press to Blue.

On opposite end of Gold strip, place (1) 2 1/2" WHITE square,

right sides together.  Repeat above process and press to White.

Make 56

Sew (2) of the above units together, as shown.      LABEL:  "B-1"

Make 28

Sew (1) 2 1/2" WHITE square to end of above unit as shown,

being careful of placement:

Sew (1) 2" x 7 1/2" GOLD strip between (2) 2" x 7 1/2" BLUE

strips as shown

Sew (1) 2" x 5" BLUE strip to one end, as shown:

Next sew (1)  1" x 9 1/2" GOLD strip to bottom of above unit, as shown:

Make 1

Make a Square-in-a-Square block by placing (1) 2" BLUE square

on one corner of (1) 3 1/2" GOLD square, right sides togther.

Sew on line, cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back, and press to Blue.

Repeat process on all 4 corners.   Square up to 3 1/2"
