QUILTS OF VALOR MYSTERY

Thank you for helping honor our wounded servicemen and women by sewing along with your quilting friends on this fun mystery. For more information on Quilts of Valor Foundation, please go to www.qovf.org.

This mystery will have 5 installments (clues), with a 6th one for final assembly instructions. Clues will be posted on the 1st and 15th of every month, beginning March 1, 2008.

Local Quilters: We encourage you to drop off your finished tops at our QOV booth at Quilt Daze in Tulsa, June 6-7, 2008. As always, there is no charge to you for the quilting.

If you can't attend the show, please go to the QOV website to find a longarmer, or send them to me for finishing at no cost to you for the quilting.

I have designed 2 versions of this pattern. One is a 4 color quilt, using yardage. The other is a Scrappy version, sure to help reduce your stash. It is 51"x60"

Yardage Fabric Requirements and Cutting Instructions

Dark Blue......... 1 yard

Light Blue......... (1) 2" x width of fabric (WOF) strip

Red.................. 2 yards

White............... 2 1/4 yards

Cutting Instructions:

Dark Blue

Cut (4) 6 1/2" squares

(40) 2" squares - draw a line diagonally on the wrong side of the fabric

(8) 2" x WOF
