(1) 6 1/2" square

** NOTE: if this is a kit, center signature

square has already been made for you.

Place (1) 3 1/2" RED square on one end of (1) 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" BLUE square, right sides together as shown. Sew on drawn line. Cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press.

Make 2

Repeat above process, placing Red square in opposite corner, as shown:

Make 4 patches by sewing (1) 2" x 17" BLUE and (1) 2" x 17" GOLD strips together lengthwise, right sides together.

Subcut into (8) 2" x 3 1/2" units.   Make 4-patches using these units, as shown.

Your 4-patch should measure 3 1/2"

Pace (1) 3 1/2" RED square in one corner of (1) 6 1/2" WHITE square, as shown.  Sew on line.  Cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press.     Repeat process in opposite corner.

Assemble your block as shown:

Your block should measure 12 1/2" Unfinished

This quilt has 20 blocks, and blocks are rotated every other one. 2" Inner border, and 4" outer border.   60" x 72"

This 12 block quilt has 2" sashings & inner border, and 6" outer border.    56' x 70"
