RED:......(16)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"                                            CREAM:......(16)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

             (8)   3" x 3"                                                                          (16)  3" x 3" - draw diagonal on wrong side

                                                                                                        (16)  2 1/2" x 2 1/2" - draw diagonal line on wrong side

GOLD:....(8)  3" x 3"                                       

            (16)  2 1/2" x 2 1/2" - draw diagonal line on wrong side

Since you had sooo much fun making all those HST’s in the last clue, let’s do some MORE!

Place (1)  3” x 3” CREAM square on top of (1) 3” x 3” RED square.  Sew ¼” on each side of drawn line.

Cut apart on line, and press to Red.                             Square up to 2 ½”

We’re on a roll, let’s make even MORE!

Place (1) 3” x 3” CREAM square on top of (1) 3” x 3” GOLD square.  Sew ¼” on each side of drawn line.  Cut apart on line, and press to GOLD.    Square up to 2 ½”

Place (1)  2 ½” GOLD square on top of (1) 2 ½” x 4 ½” CREAM strip as shown.  Stitch on drawn line. Cut seam allowance to ¼”, flip back, and press to Gold.

Next using the same procedure above, make Red/Cream units, using (1) 2 ½” CREAM and

(1) 2 ½” x 4 ½” RED as shown:

Sew (1) GOLD/CREAM unit to (1) CREAM/RED unit as shown:

Make pinwheels using (3) Blue/Cream HST, and (1) Red/Cream HST.

Make pinwheels using (4) Gold/Cream HST.

Make 4

Assemble your block rows according to illustration below:

Your assembled block should measure 12 /2"

Sew your blocks in a row:
