Cutting Instructions:

RED:....(1) 1 1/2" x WOF                                            CREAM:.....(1) 1 1/2" x WOF

                subcut into (16) 1 1/2" x 2 1/2"                                     (4) 1 1/2" x 12 1/2"

           (1) 1 1/2" x WOF                                                             (8)  1 1/2" x 10 1/2"

           (1) 1 1/2" x 25"                                                               (16)  2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

          (16) 3" x 3"

BLUE...(1)  1 1/2" x 25"                                              GOLD:.......(4)  2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

          (12)  1 1/2" x 12 1/2"     

          (16)  3' x 3" - draw diagonal line on wrong side

Sew (1) 1 ½” x 25” RED strip to (1) 1 ½” x 25” BLUE strip lengthwise.  Subcut into

1 ½” x 2 ½” units, as shown:

Sew (1) 1 ½” x 2 ½” RED strip to the left side of the above unit to make Unit A.

Repeat procedure, but sew strip to right side of above unit to make Unit B.

Make HST’s using (1) 3” RED and (1) 3” BLUE squares. Place a BLUE square on top of a RED square, right sides together.  Sew scant ¼” seam on each side of drawn line.  Cut apart on line, and press to red.

Sew a Unit A to a Red/Blue HST as shown, then sew one on each side of a 2 ½” Cream square:

Next sew (1) 1 ½” x 12 ½” BLUE strip to (1) 1 ½’ x 12 ½ ” CREAM strip lengthwise.

Subcut into (8) 1 ½” x 2½” units.    Sew these units into 4 patches as shown:

Sew (1) 1 ½” x  WOF RED strip to (1) 1 ½” x WOF CREAM strip.

  Subcut into  (2) 2 ½” x 2 ½” units.                         LABEL: “RC”

Sew  (1) RED/BLUE HST, (1) “RC” unit, and (2) Blue/Cream 4 patches, as shown, being

careful of placement:

Next using (2) 2 ½” CREAM squares, (2) “RC” units, and (1) GOLD 2 ½” Square,

make the unit below, being careful of placement:

Assemble your inner block unit as shown below:

Frame your above inner block, as shown, using (1) 1 ½” x 10 ½” CREAM strips sewn on each side,

and (1) 1 ½” x 12 ½” BLUE strips sewn top and bottom.

Next sew (4) blocks together in a row:
