Make RED/CREAM HST’s using 3” RED squares and 3” CREAM squares. Square up to 2 ½”

Cutting Instructions:

RED:.....(4)  2 1/2" x 2 1/2"                                    CREAM:..... (4)  2 1/2" x 10 1/2"

           (16)  3" x 3"                                                                 (4)  2 1/2" x 12 1/2"

                                                                                             (16)  3"x 3" - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

BLUE:...(16)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"                                                     (16)  2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

GOLD:...(16)  2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Make 32

Using (2) of your HST's, (1) 2 ½” GOLD square, and (1) 2 ½” CREAM square, assemble the unit shown below, being careful of placement:

Sew (1) 2 ½” x 4 ½” BLUE strip between (2) units you made above, being careful of placement, as shown:

Sew (1) 2 ½” RED square between (2) 2 ½’ x 4 ½” BLUE strips as shown:

Assemble your inner block as shown:

Next sew (1) 2 ½” x 10 ½” CREAM strip to top of inner block.

Then sew (1) 2 ½” x 12 ½” CREAM strip to left side of inner block

as shown:

Sew (1) 2 ½” x 10 ½”CREAM strip to the left side of inner block.

Next sew (1) 2 ½” x 12 ½” CREAM strip to the bottom of block

as shown:

Assemble your blocks in a row, being careful of rotation of blocks, as shown:
