QOV Mystery #5 60"x72"
This Mystery is a (6) part mystery with WEEKLY clues, beginning Jan 17, 2009.
NOTE: This quilt can be made in regular red/white/blue, but looks GREAT in
Americana fabrics. Think of “country/earthy/muddied tones”, such as Civil War
fabrics. Windham, Moda, Marcus Bros carry a great selection of rich Americana
fabrics.
Fabric Requirements:
RED………2 1/2 yds
BLUE…….2 yds
GOLD……1 yd
CREAM…3 ¾ yds
For a scrappy look –Because this pattern is a little different than my 'normal' (it's all relative here! LOL!) pattern, I am not giving separate directions for yardage and scrappy. Each clue will have it's own cutting instructions. You can scrap it up by using certain fabrics just in that clue, or spread them around in other clues. Mix & match your sewn units in each clue to get a scrappier look.
