Sew a BLUE/WHITE HST on each end of a 2 1/2" WHITE square as shown:      LABEL:  "P"

Assemble your Friendship Star Blocks as shown, using "F", Blue/White HST, and "P" unit

Sew a 2 1/2" x 21" RED strip between (2)  2 1/2" x 21" WHITE strips as shown:

Subcut into (3)  5 1/2" x 6 1/2" units.                                                                     LABEL: "A"

Sew a 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" RED strip to each end of a "A" unit, as shown:              LABEL:  "E"

Make 3

Sew 2 1/2" x 12" RED strip to a 1 1/2" x 12" WHITE strip lengthwise, as shown:

Subcut into (3) 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" units.                                                                   LABEL:  "W"

Make 3

With right sides together, place a 2 1/2" WHITE square on top of a 3 1/2" RED square, as shwon.

Sew on the drawn line, cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press.                   LABEL:  "R"

Make 6

Next, using the above "R" unit, sew a 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" WHITE square, right sides together, on the

opposite corner. Sew on drawn line, cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back, and press.                   LABEL: "N"

Assemble the Alphabet Letter below using, "E", "W", "R", & "N" units as shown:

Next, frame the Alphabet Letter A, sewing 2" x 9 1/2" BLUE strips on the sides of the unit.

Then sew 2" x 12 1/2" BLUE strips on the top, as shown:
