Sew (1) 2 ½” x WOF WHITE strip between (2)  2 ½” x WOF  RED strips as

shown.   Press to dark. Subcut into 2 ½” x 6 ½” units.                                     LABEL:  “Q”

Repeat until you have (26) units.

Make 9-patch blocks using your “Q” units and “W” units as shown:

Your 9-patch blocks should measure 6 ½” x 6 ½”

Make 13

Make Half Square Triangle units (HST) using your (52)  3 ¼” WHITE squares and (52)  3 ¼” BLUE squares.

   With right sides together, stitch ¼” on each side of your drawn diagonal line.  Cut apart on drawn line and press to BLUE. 

                                                                                      Square up to 2 ½”.
