QOV Mystery 2 Clue #6 Yardage
Inside Quilt top assembly:
Now assemble the interior of your quilt by sewing Units together to form rows as shown below. Then sew the vertical rows together as shown, matching seams.
First Inside Border: Sew (5) 1 ½” x WOF WHITE strips together, end to end.
Cut (2) pieces 48 ½”. Sew one to each side of top. Next measure and cut (2) pieces 38 ½” each, and sew to top and bottom of top.
Second Inside Border: Sew (8) Red/White/Blue strips together . Add (1) 2 ½” x 4 ½” RED strip to end.
Sew a border strip to each side of quilt top.
Next sew (6) Red/White/Blue strips together. Add (1) 2 ½” x 4 ½” RED strip to one end, as you did above.
Sew one of these border strips to top and bottom of quilt.
Third Inside Border: Sew (6) 1 ½” x WOF WHITE strips together, end to end. Cut (2) pieces 58 ½” long. Sew these to the sides of quilt top. Next measure (2) strips 48½” and sew to top and bottom.
Outside Border: Sew the 5” x WOF BLUE strips together end to end. Cut (2) strips 60 ½” and sew to sides of quilt. Next cut (2) strips 58” each, and sew to top and bottom of quilt.
