QOV Mystery Scrappy - Clue #2
Next make Flying Geese using (1) WHITE 5 1/4" square and (4) GOLD 2 7/8" squares.
With right sides of fabric together, lay two of the smaller squares on the larger square, as shown below. They will slightly
overlap. Using a ruler, draw a light pencil line diagonally from top left corner to bottom right corner.
Stitch a scant 1/4 inch on both sides of the drawn line. Cut apart on the center drawn line.
Press seams toward GOLD. Draw a diagonal line on wrong side of smaller square. With right sides together, lay one
of the marked squares on the sewn unit, and stitch scant 1/4" on both sides of drawn line. Cut apart on drawn line. Repeat
with the remaining unit and the remaining smaller square. Repeat with the other WHITE 5 1/4" and GOLD 2 7/8" squares
to make a total of 24 Flying Geese, which should measure 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
