Cutting Instructions: 

Red..............(20) 5" squares

                   (20) 2 1/2" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

Blue............ (20) 2 1/2" squares

White.......... (20) 5" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side

                   (20) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2"

Gray...........  (20) 2 1/2" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side

Sewing Instructions: 

Make Half Square Triangles (HST) by placing (1) 5" WHITE square on top of (1) 5" RED square, right sides together.  Sew 1/4" on each

side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Red.             Square up to 4 1/2"  

Make 40

Place (1) 2 1/2" GRAY square on one end of (1) 2 1/2' x 4 1/2"             Next, place (1) 2 1/2" RED square on opposite end, being careful

WHITE strip, right sides together.  Stitch on drawn line, as                  of placement. Stitch on drawn line, as shown.  Cut seam allowance

shown. Cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press.                    to 1/4", flip back and press.

Sew (1) 2 1/2" BLUE square on end of above unit, being careful of placement as shown:
