Cutting Instructions:

BLUE
   (2)  5" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side of fabric
   (4)  2 1/2" squares - draw diagonal line on wrong side of fabric
   (4)  2 7/8" squares

RED
   (2)  5" squares
   (1)  5 1/4" square

WHITE
    (4)  2 1/2" x 4 1/2"
    (1)  4 1/2"

Piecing Instructions:

     Place a 5" BLUE square on top of a 5" RED square, right sides together. Sew a scant 1/4" on each side of the drawn line.  Cut apart on line, and press to red.    Square up to 4 1/2"
Make 4
Next place a 2 1/2" BLUE square, in one corner of the 4 1/2" WHITE square, right sides together, as shown. Sew on drawn line.
Cut seam allowance to 1/4", flip back and press.  Repeat same method on each corner of the WHITE square.
Make 1     Square up to 4 1/2"
With right sides of fabric together, place a 2 7/8"  BLUE square in opposite corners on top of the 5 1/4" RED square, as shown.  Using a ruler
draw a line from top left corner to bottom right.  (smaller squares will slightly overlap). Sew a scant 1/4" on each side of the drawn line.  Next cut apart on sewn line, and press seams toward BLUE.
Next, place another BLUE square, right sides together on top of new unit.  Draw a line from top left to bottom right.  Cut apart on drawn line, and press to BLUE.

Sew (1) 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" WHITE strip to Flying Geese unit, as shown in Assembly illustration below.
