Cutting Instructions:
RED..........(1) 2" x 8 1/2"
(2) 3 1/2" square - draw a diagonal line on wrong side (***See Note below)
(4) 3 7/8" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side
BLUE.......(1) 7 1/4" square WHITE: (1) 6 1/2" square (**see note below)
(2) 2" x 8 1/2" (1) 2" x 8 1/2"
Sewing Instructions:
Make center autograph square by placing (1) 3 1/2" RED square on one corner, right sides together. Sew on drawn
line. Cut 1/4" seam allowance, flip back and press to red. Repeat in opposite corner.
Make 4-patches by sewing (1) 2" x 8 1/2" RED strip to (1) 2" x 8 1/2" BLUE Make 4-Patches with units, as shown:
strip together lengthwise. Subcut into (4) 2" x 3 1/2" units.
Repeat using (1) 2" x 8 1/2" WHITE strip, and (1) 2" x 8 1/2" BLUE strip.
Make Flying Geese by placing (1) 3 7/8" RED square in opposite corners of (1) 7 1/4" BLUE square, right sides together,
as shown. (They will slightly overlap). Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line, and press to Red. Next place
(1) 3 7/8" RED square, right sides together, in remaining corner. Sew 1/4" on each side of drawn line. Cut apart on line,
and press to red.
Your Flying Geese should measure 3 1/2" x 6 1/2"
Your block should measure 12 1/2"
